Hi Mia,

We’ve changed our payment details. Use the new account today.

Finance has already approved this. Please don’t call; I’m in a meeting.

Thanks,
Alex

Your response

Treat this as a phishing scam

Do not pay or reply. Already acted? Contact IT immediately.

A

A payment change needs a separate check.

An unexpected bank change plus same-day pressure is a reason to pause. Call the supplier using a number already in your records.

B

The message tries to stop you verifying it.

A claim that “Finance approved it” is only text in this email. Confirm the approval through your usual company channel.

Spot it next time

A familiar name or a quoted approval does not verify new bank details.

Illustrative assessment of reviewed content. Actual reports show any inspection gaps and an IT diagnostic summary.

Look beyond
the sender’s name.

A convincing email can lead to a questionable invoice, a QR code or a page that asks for something unexpected. Email Threat Shield connects the clues across the material it can inspect.

See what’s included
The request and the conversation
Unusual payment instructions, impersonation clues, conflicting identities and signs that a quoted reply chain may have been written in.
Documents and destinations
Supported attachments, readable text, QR destinations and public linked pages. A trusted first page doesn’t prove the next one is genuine.
The details that support the story
Available headers, public domain registration, business identifiers and invoice arithmetic—used as evidence, never as a guarantee.
Ordinary mail, too
Reassuring observations for legitimate-looking content, useful advice for marketing mail, and English explanations of non-English messages.

Built to help people
make a better call.

We’re testing Email Threat Shield with real submissions. Talk with Bit Precision about a pilot for your organisation.

Start with your team’s questions.

We’ll discuss your Outlook setup, the emails you want help with, and the access and data handling needed for a pilot.

Discuss a pilot

Opens an email to sales@bitprecision.com.

Does this replace email security?

No. It adds a user-requested review after delivery. Keep your existing email filtering and malware protection. It does not scan for malware, block delivery or guarantee an email is safe.

Can it inspect every link or attachment?

It reviews supported files and reachable public pages within inspection limits. It does not sign in to third-party sites, enter credentials, submit forms or make payments. Reports identify content that could not be checked.

What happens to submitted emails?

The pilot processes submitted content in an Azure-hosted service using Azure AI, with report delivery through SMTP2GO. Visiting public links may be visible to those sites. Pilot case evidence is retained for 24 hours; emailed reports remain in recipients’ mailboxes. Access and data handling are agreed before onboarding.

Will it work with our Outlook setup?

The add-in has desktop, web and mobile flows. Compatibility and your organisation’s deployment requirements are checked during onboarding. The pilot currently uses restricted access; public sign-in does not create an account.

Can IT review the evidence?

Yes. Authorised pilot users can see processing progress, the assessment, source evidence and inspection limits in the review log. The 24-hour pilot log is not a permanent audit archive.
